Description Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 is a flexible, self-fusing rubber tape used for electrical insulation and sealing. It is made with a strong ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) base and has a sticky mastic adhesive that works well even at high temperatures. The tape is 1.65 mm (65 mils) thick, which helps in building up layers quickly. It is specially designed for insulating electrical joints and protecting them from moisture. Scotch® 2228 is approved for use in environments with temperatures up to 130°C. It gives strong protection against moisture and UV rays, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
